37 MANAGING ART COLLECTIONS: from ancient to contemporary TUNISIA Nour El Houda Ajili Ep Arfaoui Ms. Nour El Houda Ajili Ep Arfaoui, is a dedicated and knowledgeable Heritage Curator with a strong academic background in Archaeology and Islamic Art History. Possesses extensive hands-on experience in inventorying, documenting, protecting, and restoring archaeological collections, gained within major Tunisian heritage institutions. Proven skills in both scientific research and administrative management of cultural assets, with a research focus on the architectural and urban evolution of Cape Bon. Successfully integrated into the permanent civil service through competitive examination. The archaeological collection she works on is diverse in terms of size, raw material and historical period, coming from the excavations caried out at the archaeological site of El Jem. She is carrying out inventory and preserving activities related to various items such as pottery vessels, marble statues, and small clay figurines, along with pieces of jewelry made of bone and crystal. Regarding the historical period of the pieces currently being inventoried, it extends from the Punic period through the Roman, Christian and Vandal period, reaching the Islamic period.
